One year ago, when we sent out our first letter, Snipette was a small publication with seven followers and a handful of stories under its belt. We’ve come a long way since then. A hundred and fifty followers, twenty plus views per day, and a little over fifty stories later, we have to thank the people — all of you — who read and commented on our articles!

While most of the articles that we’ve published to date have been written by one of us and edited by the other, we’ve been trying to expand the number and variety of the authors that we feature.

That’s why we’d like to thank everyone who wrote articles for us in the past year. Shalom Gauri, Prateek Vasisht, Tarek, Aashutosha Lele, Thuận Sarzynski, and Siddharth Murali: thank you for writing. Each of you added a new angle to Snipette, and made our publication that much richer. We look forward to working with more of you in the future.

At Snipette, we try to encourage authors who are new to writing. Even if you’ve never written before, that doesn’t mean you can’t writing now! That’s why we started the Writers’ Programme, to actively help you through the process of writing.

Even if you aren’t inclined to write, you can still participate and be a part of the Snipette community. Feel free to leave ideas, comments, and questions for us in a social media post with the hashtag #AskSnipette.

Of course, you don’t have to do any of those things. The number of people reading, commenting and clapping for our posts has been phenomenal and we’d be very happy to even simply receive your continued support!

If you don’t use Medium, remember that you can follow us on social media. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and federated networks like Friendica. Or, simply subscribe to our RSS feed (email notifications are coming soon).

Before we sign off this email, we’d like to thank the team at Medium for creating this platform for us, and even featuring several pieces of ours on the homepage! And we’d like to thank you, the reader, again, for all your support and encouragement.

Finally we’d also like to ask you for some feedback. How have you found our articles? Which ones did you enjoy the most? Is there anything you’d like to see more or less of?

Do send your answers as a comment at the bottom of this post. If you’d like to keep it private, you can also email us directly at snipettemag@gmail.com. We’re always happy to receive your thoughts on Snipette — they’re what help us keep it going!

Here’s to a wonderful second year ahead. We hope you enjoy reading (and writing for) Snipette as much as we enjoy bringing it out!

Manasa and Badri, editors at Snipette
